FOX FIRE ACRES CSA

In the high tunnel this year we will be growing tomatoes and many varieties of garden greens.  All water is supplied from our eco-friendly pond. Every produce item is picked at the peek of perfection. We will pick it fresh in the early morning and have pick-up available on Thursdays in South Des Moines from 12:oop.m. thru 6:00pm. 

Below is a sampling of the quantities for which you will receive several times over the growing season ( may receive some items 5+ times) These will total 20 pounds each week  during the year for 16 weeeks. Plus remember the free items.    These are items that are part of weekly offerings:

• tomatoes; 4 pounds
• radishes; 1 large bunch
• green beans; 2 pounds
• peas;   (snow or pole) 1 pound
• cucumbers;  2
• strawberries (in season) 1 pint
• summer squash; 3
• winter or acorn squash; 2
•  cantaloupe in season;  3     (3-4lbs. or larger)
• leaf greens;  1 large bunch
• cabbage;  1 green head 1 purple head
•  spinach; 1 large bunch
• carrots; 2 pounds
• beets; 1 pound
• sweet potatoes; 4 pounds
• potatoes; 5 pounds
• green onions; 2 bunches
• onions 2 pounds 
• 2+ watermelons 15 pounds or larger (in season).

 Every share or box of produce is delivered weekly for you to pick up.

 16 weekly deliveries = 1share

1  Full share = $550.00

1 Half Share= 400.00

 I like how they are so friendly and the vegetables are so big and fresh even suppling a variety of squash and cucumbers. The lettuce greens early in spring were even ccrisp and very flavorful. The large pumpkins that were given to the children for carving were a delight. I'm returning every year. Christine F.
